ELDER ANTHONISE DAVENPORT

Anthonise McMorris Davenport, affectionately known to her beloved village as "Nece" was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is the youngest daughter of M. Anthony and Darnise McMorris, devoted wife of Conrad Davenport and the doting mother to two superheros, her daughter Carsyn and son Canon. Anthonise is a graduate of St. Mary's Academy, Southern University and A&M College, and American Public University. She served as an ordained elder and licensed minister under the leadership of Pastor Eric A. Williams at Beacon Light of Baton Rouge Full Gospel Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and now under the leadership of Pastor Ronaldo and Cristian Hardy of the All Nations Worship Assembly Baton Rouge campus. Beyond the temple yet always in ministry, she works in the Office of Student Enrollment Services at Baton Rouge Community College. Elder Davenport is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Anew Survivor.
In 2014, Nece was diagnosed with a chronic illness, Lupus, and stage 3 Marginal Zone Lymphoma (MZL) cancer. She has since endured years of chemotherapy. The MZL cancer went into remission only for a year before it came back again in February 2016 and then again in January 2020. With all of God’s grace, Anthonise has fought against stage 3 cancer .... not once but twice! To be sure, Nece lives the saying "Never look like what you're going through!” From the outside looking in many had no idea what she and her village were battling. Anthonise kept on with her life, continuously working and traveling and being an awesome wife, mother, sister and friend to so many. She says her soul is anchored in love for her Savior Jesus Christ. Her motto: “Through God we have a chance to live Anew life so let’s live it abundantly!”

Preaching her first sermon at the age of 16 entitled “It’s all in the Name!”, Anthonise has become a passionately sought-after Revivalist. With her refreshing evangelism, elegant flair, and dynamic testimony, her audiences are sure to demand an encore. Having a divine connection with the Lord and insight to what she calls “The Process of a New Beginning”, Elder Davenport encourages all who have gone through a struggle: “No matter what life throws at you, remain anchored in Lord. Through His Word, you won’t Sink”. Never imagining at the age of 16 what God had in store for her life, her testimony is written in Romans 8:28-all things works together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Surely one thing is clear, this lady loves the Lord!
Anew Mentor.
Anthonise is compassionate to women who have endured struggles in life as she endured many of her own. She encourages her mentees to never focus on the obstacles but focus on the outcome. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. In 2017 Anthonise founded Anew Ministries, a ministry to help women recover their self-worth, bringing security, stability and rest to women whose ships have been violently tossed by the currents in life. Through Anew Ministries women will be able to change their outlook of being Victimized to becoming Victorious. Anthonise and her village will ensure Anew Ministries lives on long beyond her time for God's word will surely never die.
