SIGNIFICANCE OF THE ANCHOR

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; - Hebrews 6:19

The anchor symbolizes security and strength. In life, we may experience violent currents, ready to toss our souls at sea. We may feel like we're sinking or floating away from that safe familiar place of Peace in Christ. We may feel like we've sailed out further than where we wanted to go. Sin will do that to you but the anchor is heavy. Once you cast your cares and let your anchor down, the Lord will give you rest.

Elder Anthonise Davenport can be seen carrying symbols of an anchor, constantly reminding her where her safety lies, in Jesus.

Anew Ministries will be the anchor to help women whose ships have been violently tossed by the currents in life to recover their self-worth, bringing security, stability and rest to women. We seek to bring women from being known Victims to being named Victorious in Christ.
